The National Day of Racial Healing is a time for communities across the country to come together, reflect, and imagine what is possible when we choose connection over division. In Battle Creek, this gathering creates space for storytelling, cultural expression, and shared moments of joy, hope, and belonging.
This year’s theme, “Rhythm of Our Humanity,” invites us to honor the heartbeat that connects us all. Even in challenging times, there is a steady rhythm of care, courage, and creativity that moves our community forward. “In the Midst of It All, Joy Will Be Had” reminds us that joy is a practice that nourishes, restores, and brings us together.
