Racial Healing & Relationship Building
According to the TRHT Framework, systemic change starts with connecting people. Racism affects everyone in where we live, learn, work, and play. It impacts our daily lives, making it hard to connect and understand each other. Communities need tools to heal from these effects. The racial healing process helps build trust and real relationships by addressing past and present racism. Building these relationships is crucial for community change. Before fixing systems, we need to connect and understand each other first.
Racial Healing Circles
Racial healing is an individual and collective process that supports the dismantling of racism within ourselves and society. When grounded in empathy and oriented towards equity, racial healing has restorative potential and affirms our humanity and inherent value. This experience is a process and tool to facilitate trust and build authentic relationships that bridge divides created by real and perceived racial differences.
