Panelists representing immigration law, law enforcement, community-based organizations, healthcare, labor, and education will share what people need to know about how immigration really works—from different types of immigration processes (like asylum, refugee status, and work visas), to how laws are enforced and what roles local systems actually play.
We’ll also explore how immigrant communities interact with systems of care and protection—clarifying legal safeguards such as HIPAA and FERPA, and addressing widespread misconceptions about enforcement and access.
